I just spent another nice evening at Bare Bones, the Cheers of Ellicott City :-) Always good food. I had the pizza which is available at limited hours, up to 6pm I think. It's thin crust with a slightly sweet sauce. I like to ask them to bake it with a crisper crust. Big enough for two or three people. Always good folks at the bar. I know a lot of the regulars, and new folks are in and out all the time, sometimes chatty, sometimes not. Excellent drinks and great bartenders, and a good selection of brands and top-shelf selections. Crushes are fresh-squeezed daily. Good bands on Fri and Sat evenings, 8pm I think, but come early to get seats. Trivia 7pm on Wed. A nice little buffet for $2-per-plate with a purchase on Fridays 4-6pm. NFL Ravens Game-Day drink specials, and plenty of tvs with any game that's on. Yeah, I like everything about this place. Somehow they have kept it top-quaility and welcoming for decades!
I haven't been to Bare Bones I. Quite some time. On this particular Tuesday I attended a sip and paint event hosted by Maryland Craft parties. For a Tuesday it was pretty crowded inside. There is a large shared parking lot in the shopping center where it's located. The event was in a private room located in the rear of the dinning area. The hostess was kind enough to show us back. Wait staff was friendly and took our drink orders shortly after we were seated. It was half price on wine so that's what we chose for the table. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla that arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Sorry I had paint all on my hands and couldn't get a photo before digging in. It was very tasty and well seasoned. Had a great experience and for all the food and drinks it came out to about 22 dollars per person. I was more there for the sip and paint so I will have to come back for a proper dining experience. I even saw a fellow yelper there for the sip and paint.
My Absolute favorite salad. The teriyaki chicken is full of flavor and pairs great with the salad and dressing. The service is great and the food always comes out super quick, hot, and fresh. I've never been here and had to wait for an astronomical amount of time to get my order. The ambiance is great as well, with plenty of seating and, a bar area with seating as well. They also have live music on the weekends which adds another nice touch of ambiance.
